Fused glass sculptures, Contemporary Glass, Abstract Glass and Custom Glass

Welcome

Masten Art Glass is created in a studio in Big Sur, CA, and features fused glass sculptures--mainly abstract representations of themes in nature.

I use glass in many forms when creating an art sculpture--sheet glass, small pieces of glass called frit, and glass powders. From the powders, powder wafers are made in the kiln, and then fused to a bigger piece. This wafer creates an abstract look to each piece, with interesting suggestions of themes. Cold working follows, to ensure smooth, clear edges to the glass.

Please feel free to browse my gallery. Some pieces are thick castings, while others are sculptured using a saw. Custom pieces may also be designed just for you!
