Approximate dimensions: 12 inches diameter. This bowl is done with a white background, and transparent turquoise frits to form the checkerboard. There are tiny cranberry colored pieces at each "intersection." While it looks dark when not in light, there are still tiny turquoise bits showing. And, if not using this for food, it can sit in a stand (which comes with the bowl) as an art piece. When back-lit, the colors are readily apparent. This is microwave and dishwasher safe.
